Nakashima Mika's appearance in the latest film of "Bio Hazard" (known as Resident Evil outside Japan) has come to light, in the role of the first infected person who triggers the whole story.

As for the casting of Nakashima, Director Paul W. S. Anderson said...
"Mika was really fantastic. I thought this film should be located in Tokyo where the game was born. And I wanted real Japanese, not one in Hollywood, to play the first infected person who would be the start of everything in the series. This inevitably required the appearance of Japanese actress. Milla Jovovich had been aware of Mika, and I also know Mika through YouTube. Thus I chose Mika following my own instincts."

"Although Mika had been thoroughly wet for hours in a severe cold, she played the nonspeaking role fantastically only with facial expression and movement, without losing her concentration."

The unveiling of the film will start at the world premiere held in Tokyo just as the story starts in Shibuya. Mika will be on stage with Milla at the world premiere on Sept. 2. The new "Bio Hazard" will be starting from the place where the two will meet for the first time in a year after the shooting last October.

Nakashima commented :
"I could hardly believe when I first heard about this matter. Though the filming was done at the cold time of the year, I was struck by the kindness and the warm support of all of the staff."

Today, ‘Ichiban Kirei na Watashi wo’ was released.
I am the songwriter of this song.
As you may know, this song is used as the inserted song of the drama ‘Unubore Deka’ of TBS.

I am usually working as a dedicated writer for Sony Music Publishing, so I have many opportunities to write songs for various singers.
This song ‘Ichiban Kireina Watashi wo’ was particularly made for Ms. Nakashima from the very beginning to the end.

Needless to say, I myself and all writers around me love Ms. Nakashima.
We all bought her CDs and grew up with her songs.

Not many singers are able to go through and absorb the lyric of “Ichiban Kireina Watashi wo Daitanoha Atana de shou (You were the one who held the most beautiful me)”. Don’t you think so?

All part of the lyric of this song was made before composing the music. Almost the half of my effort was spent on making this one line.
It seemed that I spent a few days just considering what line should be the most appropriate to describe the mind of a women who looked back her unforgettable and once-in-a-lifetime love.

I was much devoted to this exercise, so I did not realize that I made a rather provocative line. After completing the work, one female director mentioned that “the hook-line of this song ‘Ichiban Kireina Watashi wo Daitanoha Atana de shou’ really touched me a lot”.
For the first time, I realized that I wrote a very provocative line and become a little abashed.

A number of people asked me of the meaning of this line. I think the audience should understand this line as her or his own way, and this is how the music should be interpreted.

Long time no see~

According to yahoo headlines, it seems that "Ichiban Kirei na Watashi wo" topped the USEN total charts before its release.

Right after the beginning of the Karaoke's delivery early August, requests for the song have been pouring in. And the interest keep rising every time the song is broadcasted on TV-drama "Unubore Deka" and on the radio besides the cable broadcasting.
We can also learn that a much more BIG TOPIC will be revealed in September, this year..

Mika Nakashima to perform two shows at Budokan

Singer Mika Nakashima (27) recently announced her first concerts at the Nippon Budokan. She will perform two shows there on November 5 and 6, which will be labeled as MIKA NAKASHIMA 10th ANNIVERSARY'S SPECIAL LIVE "FANS AND BEST."

November 7 marks the 9th anniversary of her debut single "STARS," which means that she will be entering her 10th year as a singer. It will also be her 10th year as an actress, as she debuted in the drama series "Kizu Darake no Love Song" at around the same time ("STARS" was the drama's theme song).

The news of Nakashima's Nippon Budokan concerts coincides with the promotions for the upcoming drama series "Unubore Deka," which stars Tomoya Nagase (31) and features Nakashima as a main female character. Her next single, "Ichiban Kirei na Watashi wo" (on sale August 25), is being used as the drama's insert song. "Unubore Deka" premieres on July 9.
